Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present to a wider professional public the issues related to the approval of the procedures of making permanent joints of polyethylene on the pressure equipment. For this purpose, the authors have tried to cover all the aspects which enable the notified body to verify the fulfillment of essential requirements for safety of welded joints on the pressure equipment categories II, III, and IV.
