Welding and welded structures (Zavarivanje i zavarene konstrukcije) is the official quarterly review of the Serbian Society for Advancement of Welding. The Journal publishes reports on the latest developments in all aspects of welding, joining, cutting, and related technologies. In addition to its coverage of all the widely used welding and construction fabrication processes, the journal also discusses welding metallurgy, testing and inspection of welds, new publications and standards, operator training and education, health and safety matters, new equipment, and consumables.
The journal provides comprehensive information about Serbian Welding Society.
The journal Welding & Welded Structures publishes original scientific papers, preliminary communications, reviews, and professional papers. Papers are published in Serbian or English.
The manuscript should be typed on one side only of A4 paper in Arial font, 10 points, fully justified. Ample margins should be provided, not less than 20 mm. The pages should be numbered. The normal maximum of paper is 10 single-spaced typewritten pages with tables and figures. The typescript should be presented in the following order: title page, text, appendix, acknowledgment, references, tables, and figures.
Title page
The title page should contain:
the title of the paper - it should be brief, specific informative and not exceeding ten words;
the name(s) of the author(s), establishment(s) and addresses;
keywords - not exceeding five words;
abstract - not more than 250 words. The abstract should present a concise summary of the objectives, content, and conclusions of the paper. It should be intelligible without reference to the paper, so no mention must be made of any figures, tables, or bibliographical references.
Text
For the main text, it is important to maintain a logical sequence, splitting text into paragraphs with different headings. Clear differentiation should be made between the headings of sections, subsections, etc. It is suggested to organize and divide the main text into the following headings:
introduction - short statement giving relevant background, purpose, and scope of the work,
experimental - giving materials, methods, process, and equipment used in solving the problem,
results - discussion - evaluation and interpretation of the data and facts,
conclusions - short evaluation and interpretation of the performed work,
Appendix, acknowledgment - as required.
References
References should be numbered serially, and the numbers should be typed within square brackets. The references should be set out in a list, numbered according to their appearance in the text. For the sake of uniformity and literature searching, the format in accordance with ISO 690 must be used.
Equations, tables, and figures should all be numbered serially throughout the text and referred to in the text. Equations should be typed in fonts for symbols, with explained meanings of the symbols.
Tables should be as simple as possible. Each table should have a descriptive heading at the top. All figures must be submitted in a form suitable for reproduction, in a high resolution, of high contrast, clear, black and white.
The caption should be placed below the figure. In preparing diagrams, line drawings must provide high-resolution computer printouts. Drawings and lettering size should permit a 50% reduction in the final version.
Units Authors are explicitly requested to submit their papers using SI units.
The volume of the text is up to 10 pages of A4 format. Manuscripts submitted to the journal will be reviewed.
Authors are obliged to prepare the text of the manuscript according to these instructions, register, and submit it through the website in MS Word (.docx) format. Alternatively, authors may submit a manuscript to the email addresses duzs011[a]gmail.com and editor-in-chief[a]wwsjournal.org.rs.
