Abstract

The new edition of EN ISO 9712 standard introduces changes that expend the responsibilities of the certification body, increases the requirements for employers to provide proof of candidates' practical experience, and introduce the concept of referee for self-employed persons. In the examinations area, the number of questions in the theoretical part is increased, while in the practical part, the preparation of the written instruction is separated from the examination of the test samples and is evaluated as a separate section. The main changes relate to the procedure for certificate renewal after 5 years, where the first option is a credit system demonstrates the controllers' continuous activity, and the second option is a practical examination.
